Dear friends and compassionate community,

Our dear friend Keesha is courageously battling Mucinous Adenocarcinoma which is very rare and only makes up 2-3% of ovarian cancer cases. In her journey to overcome this battle, she needs our collective support. Keesha is a beacon of strength, resilience, and kindness, and now it's our turn to rally around her.

Keesha's journey began with surgery in October to remove an ovarian cyst, initially believed to be non-cancerous. Unfortunately, a routine biopsy during that surgery revealed on November 7th that she had stage one ovarian cancer.

Unfortunately the NHS, in a delay that intensified the situation, only reviewed the results in February the following year, alerting Keesha to the cancer on February 6th. A subsequent CT scan showed new masses in the pelvis and suspicious lung nodules not present in the September scan prior to the initial surgery.

Now facing an ultra-radical hysterectomy, Keesha will undergo the removal of both ovaries, both tubes, her womb, appendix, gallbladder, a part of her bowel, cervix and potentially her spleen. This extensive procedure, coupled with the likelihood of at least 6 months of chemotherapy, underscores the physical, emotional and financial toll on Keesha.
