Donate to help Kristen and Caden

Our dear friend, Kristen Mautz, and her son, Caden, need our support. Kristen is currently hospitalized at Stanford in the ICU, awaiting surgery.
On Friday, May 20th, Kristen collapsed in Costco following several days of an excruciating headache. Two off-duty nurses - one from a local Emergency Department - attended to her until paramedics arrived. The paramedics took her to Memorial, but doctors quickly had her airlifted to Washington Hospital in Fremont. They then transferred her to Stanford, placing her in a medically-induced coma.
Doctors believe she suffered an aneurysm and plan to operate as soon as the swelling recedes in her brain. Though still in the ICU and in need of surgery, Kristen is now stable and alert. Caden had the opportunity to see her, accompanied by his father.
Caden graduates from 8th grade next week. Family, Caden's godfather, friends, and neighbors answered the call to care for and surround Caden with love and purpose until his mother can do so once again. Their community has rallied around them both, but there will be near and long-term expenses. We have begun this fund to help defray the expected medical and recovery costs. All donations will go straight to Kristen and Caden.
Please give what you can, and share amongst your networks to reach the full breadth of support available to this sweet family. If you are unable to give at this time, please send good thoughts, prayers, and/or energies to them both.
Thank you for letting me be of service.
With love,
