Thank you to everyone who has graciously donated and helped share the GoFundMe we've set up to help Kris as she continues her fight in the HCMC Burn Unit. Looking ahead as best as we're able to (based on information shared by her medical team), we have increased our ask for donations as her healing and extended care will be quite substantial as can only be imagined at this point. We continue to be ever so grateful for any financial support you're able to provide.

Many have asked for updates on Kris's condition, which we all appreciate and naturally understand. While we've been reserved to share full details of her medical peaks and valleys, we can say that the prayers and support and love given by each of you is fueling Kris's fight. She remains in a coma; to date she has had 3 surgeries (skin grafts) and has another this week yet. Please keep Kris, her family, and her amazing medical team at HCMC in your highest prayers.

At this time, visitation is very limited. We hope you know while you may not be able to support her in person at this time, there's no doubt she can feel the love and support, and will eventually see your messages posted on her Facebook page.

On the evening of Saturday, February 18th Kristin, along with her two fur-babies Kyia and Dasia Blu were tragically impacted by a fire in their home. Many thanks over and over to a neighbor spotting the fire and calling 911, rescue crews were quickly on the scene pulling Kris, Kyia, and Dasia from their house and began immediately performing lifesaving efforts on all three. Kris was quickly transported by Mayo ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital, and soon after transported that same night to Hennepin County Medical Center's burn unit where she is just beginning her fight and remains in a medically induced coma.

As you can imagine, Kristin has a very long recovery ahead of her, while continuing her advanced care with the incredible team at the HCMC Burn Unit, as well as once she is able to come home. Where that is, will need to be determined as her previous home was severely damaged by fire, smoke, and water.

If you're able to help by supporting Kris financially, helping to offset the many medical and living expenses she'll incur as she recovers and is unable to work, we know she would greatly appreciate it, as would her family (by blood and through friendship).

Kristin has always brought so much life, laughter, and love to the doors she walks through and we can only hope that we're able to make that possible a lot sooner through this support here. ❤️
