Hello. My name is Glen Haddix and I'd like to ask you to support a dear friend of mine, Larry Coots. His story is long and full of hardships. After working nearly 33 years as a laborer in construction, he was laid off and had to seek new employment. He found a maintenance job, but after working for around 3 weeks he fell ill and a mass was found on his pancreas. He was scheduled for a biopsy. While waiting for that, his wife collapsed at home one evening. She coded in the ambulance on the way to the hospital and was revived but never woke up. She was diagnosed with Covid. After staying in Hazard ICU for weeks she was moved to a long term care facility in Huntington, WV. Larry had to put his health on the back burner to travel the 3 hours, one way, to visit her. She still didn't wake up and passed away on March 23, 2023. All that time he was barely able to work and had no vacation time accrued at his new job. He eventually had a biopsy and was diagnosed with pancreas cancer. Not long after being diagnosed, he was admitted to the hospital with an infection and became septic. Weeks later, he was discharged. All the time not being able to work. Now he is awaiting port placement to start chemotherapy. Following that he will have the Whipple procedure. Larry has always been an honest hard working man. He will not be able to work during the cancer treatment but the bills will remain. If you can, please donate to my friend. Every little bit will help.
