Donate to help Laurie Lynn Ricketts

As most of you know, Laurie was starflighted to Hamot hospital in Erie, Saturday night May 13th. She had a severe form of strep pneumonia and a fever of 105 which put her body into septic shock, which then caused an infection in her blood. She was placed into a medically induced coma and put on a ventilator. She had a number of setbacks throughout the first week and ended up being on the ventilator for 14 days. As of last Wednesday she has been off the ventilator and recovering slowly but surprisingly well. She was in bad shape and it was very touch and go for a while and we truly believe everyone's prayers and well wishes made all the difference. As of today she will be at Heritage green for rehabilitation for 6-10 weeks.

Between the astronomical costs of medical bills, time off work for the family, gas money for two weeks to be with her in Erie, and a number of different things we will need to do to make her home healthier and easier for her to be in, we are asking for help. Any and everything that anyone can do to contribute to our family during this time is so appreciated. Even just donating time would be so wonderful as the house needs some work and we could use some help with the heavy lifting/jobs that need to be done. A donation of time and maybe experience in making our home more handicap accessible, for she will require a walker and oxygen for some time, and that equipment is not cheap either, would also be extremely helpful. With that being said, if anyone has a walker, shower bar or cane they can donate, Laurie would so appreciate it, it’s going to be hard for her to get around for a while. Again, our family is so grateful for the prayers. We have tried to give her some of the messages from everyone but she's still not very with it. It's going to be a long road of recovery and any help we can get we would be so thankful for.
