Donate to Help Linnitt's Big Fall and Aftermath

Hello all!

My name is Brielle, Linnitt is my mom, and if you're seeing this we've probably met.

You might even know that my mom has been really excited about recently becoming a grandma, and was coming to visit us next month (we live in Virginia, U.S.A.) to finally meet her grandbaby until she took a terrible fall a couple of weeks ago.

She has always been a passionate gardener and is known to go out of her way to care for her leafy friends.

Her fall was the result of caring for a Jacaranda tree in her garden - she fell 15 feet to a cement floor seriously breaking several bones and other parts of her body were damaged from the impact.

She has spent more than two weeks in and out of the hospital and has had three major reconstructive surgeries, for a broken pelvis, shoulder and wrist. All will require much therapy and time to heal.

Unfortunately, there have been other complications arising as the bones heal that have been unexpected.

She is currently in the ICU to treat pneumonia brought on by the impact on her lungs, low blood sodium and oxygen levels and every day is a rollercoaster for our family.

We are reaching out to you all because as these unexpected complications continue and we look at the long recovery the financial burden grows quite heavy.

This is also the second prolonged, rollercoaster hospital stint that my mom has endured in the last 5 years (totally unrelated and very different). My family was still recovering financially and emotionally from the last hospital stay when she had this fall.

Anything that you can give to help us get my mom back to being the mobile, energetic, passionate, creative, hilarious mother, grandmother, wife, gardener, doggie mama and artist that she is would be much much appreciated.
