Donate to Help Lizarely Fight Crohn’s Disease

Hi, my name is Lizarely Martinez and I am 20 years old. Three years ago I was diagnosed with the ‘lifelong’ disease called Crohn’s. My whole world was altered after this.

For those who aren’t familiar with Crohn's, it is an inflammatory bowel disease. My symptoms include 10+ bowl movements, cramping, abdominal pain, vomiting, low energy levels, joint pain, loss of appetite, brain fog, and blood in stool. With this comes the struggle with maintaining weight. I used to always weigh between 150-140 pounds. Now I weigh 115, which is the lowest I have weighed throughout these three years that I have been dealing with Crohn’s. I have been under two different infusions (remicade and entyvio) which did not work. Later I was prescribed steroids which also did not help much. The only option I am being given is to remove my whole colon, which would leave me with a colostomy bag for the rest of my life.

I was going to The Ohio State University to become a dental hygienist but with the stress of Crohns and being hospitalized many times I had to drop out and move back home. I then started to work but it has been hard for me to keep a steady job due to the fact that jobs are not understanding when it comes to employees with disabilities. They will

over work you no matter how terrible you’re feeling. Along with not being able to fully support myself financially, hospital bills have been stacking up back to back.

Not many people who knows me know that I have Crohn’s disease so I know this will come as a surprise to many. I have tried to keep my health private as it is not something I wish to share with everyone but I am at the point where I need help. I am not the type

of person to ask for help, I always deal with my personal matters on my own. I don’t let the world or anyone see what I am going through. I just try to spread positivity and smiles where ever I go. I try to be a leader in whatever room I am in. I always know that God will

make me the light in any environment that I am in. Without him I truly believe I wouldn’t be here today. He has helped me push through my depression and anxiety. There has been many times that I wanted to give up and give in to this disease but God has other plans for me and I know that with the help of you all I will heal.

All in all, this disease has taken over all aspects of my life. I would like to raise money to cover medical costs, and to be able to join this amazing program called Crohn’s Colitis Lifestyle. They have been healing people with Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis all over the world naturally. They are a community of people just like me who have healed their gut naturally and are now able to live a normal life. All I want is to be healthy again to where I don’t have to worry where the bathroom is at anytime I go out. I want to be pain free and take my life back. I want to be able to gain my weight back and go back to doing the things I love. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I really appreciate you!
