Donate to help Lynn Carney

Hello, my name is Brooke, and I am fundraising alongside Kristen, Heather and Lauren, for their mother Lynn Carney. Lynn is the strongest person I know, and would never ask for a penny herself, but she needs help now more than ever. The amount of heartbreak and stress she has endured in this last month is more than some go through in a lifetime. She is currently working as an Executive Admin Assistant and continued to work full time at work and at home as a caregiver for her beloved husband Michael as his health was declining. Lynn had done these two very important and demanding jobs effortlessly to be able to provide her husband with medical insurance to continue to provide the best care and treatments possible. But now, unfortunately, all has changed once April came around. Michael, the love of her life and other half, has passed away. That event in itself is unimaginable. If you had the pleasure of knowing Lynn and Mike at all, you know that they are the love story we see on TV and read about in books. They have been married for 53 years and together for 56 years. They are the definition of true love, one unit, and did just about absolutely everything together. Mike was the picture of health until July of 2017. He courageously battled two very aggressive cancers at the same time for the past 6 years. During that time, he suffered four strokes, had multiple surgeries, endless doctors appointments, hospitalizations and ultimately heart and lung complications.

 

As if losing her husband, on Easter Sunday was not enough, at the same time their entire septic system, leaching fields and water system were compromised, leaving her with the loss of a deck, facilities, and her property turned into a construction site with a bill well over 5 times the amount of our fundraising goal. For the first time in years, when she finally starts thinking about retirement, it seems difficult at best with the situation at hand.

 

Lynn and Mike were always around to help any person in a time of need, no matter who, what, when, where or why. We are here today to ask for your help now, to help this amazing woman, in her time of need. Any amount is greatly appreciated and may God bless you all. Thank you ❤️
