Marie was taken to Avera St. Luke's hospital on Tuesday, September 5th with stroke-like symptoms. The doctors found that she had some bleeding in her brain. She stayed in the ICU for two nights and is currently on the med/surg floor for another 1-2 weeks doing therapy. Marie has some left sided facial drooping, slurred speech, and left arm/hand weakness. The doctors hope that as her body reabsorbs the blood in her brain, that her symptoms will improve. That is not always the case and sometimes people are left with permanent deficits. Please pray for a full recovery. The doctors do not believe the bleeding was related to her brain tumor, but they are performing an MRI today to make sure there are no changes with the tumor. Marie will not be able to work during this time. If you are able, please donate to her. She needs basic needs covered like rent, electricity, food, gas and insurance premium. If we go beyond the goal set, she will use the money for the hospital bill. She is very stressed about her finances and if we can alleviate even a little anxiety for her, she will be forever grateful. Please share any prayers or words of encouragement as well.
