Donate to help Marilyn Dugan fight cancer

Hi everyone, my name is Michael Dugan, Marilyn Dugan's son. As many of you may or may not know, my family and I are facing one of the most challenging journeys of our lives. In late August, Marilyn was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer. It started with abdominal discomfort, then a trip to the emergency room, followed by four days of tests. She eventually drove back to California from her home in Arizona to get the diagnosis. The news was devastating, but since, it has brought our family closer together than ever before.

As many of you may know, the battle with cancer is more than just physical. This disease has tested my family spiritually, mentally, and financially. Even with health insurance, medical bills pile up, eventually hitting unobtainable amounts. It is no easy task to reach out and ask for help, but watching someone you love to cry over a piece of mail with numbers on it is even more challenging.

Marilyn's treatment plan includes seven rounds of chemo and at least one surgery. It sounds so easy to say out loud, but every day has been a battle. But my mom, with the support of her family, has a fighting spirit and will not let one rough day, week, month or year get in her way. Everyone in life will face a battle, and today Marilyn is facing hers. With your support, I pray that some of this financial burden can be eased. I know times are tough for everyone, so this is also a fundraiser for prayer! Marilyn believes in and loves prayers! Along with Facebook messages, phone calls and text messages.

Any funds will go directly to helping Marilyn fight off her medical bills, so she can continue her fight against cancer and get back to doing what she loves most, playing and taking care of her grandchildren! I am so lucky to call this woman my mother, as I know many of you are to call her a friend.
