Donate to help Marilyn's medical expenses

Hello, my name is Deborah, and I am fundraising for my sister Marilyn Denise Upchurch's mounting hospital bills and her transitional housing needs.

Due to Marilyn's advanced cancer stage, it has become necessary for Marilyn and Kim to move from their current townhome (two-level) residence into a single level living accommodation. Stairs are an obstacle and a hindrance/hardship for Marilyn.

Marilyn is a great friend, favorite cousin, dear sister, loving daughter, wonderful grandmother, great mother, and the love of Kim Willis' life. Kim has been the primary caregiver for Marilyn during her illness, which has limited his ability to earn additional income for the household. Kim, too has dealt with a cancer diagnosis of his own for the past three years.

She has been an active member of the Twin Cities community - working as a Supervisor as a Downtown Ambassador.

Marilyn has been receiving excellent care in United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, for the past three weeks. She will be transferring to a rehabilitation center to regain her strength and learn to walk again with the assistance of a walker.

Marilyn has multiple myeloma and end stage renal disease, which requires kidney dialysis three days per week. Marilyn was initially diagnosed with terminal cancer, and given a year to live back in 2011...Marilyn defied the odds and survived for eleven years. She has endured a bone marrow transplant, two chemotherapy treatments, and is now down to weighing 92.5 pounds. She is a FIGHTER! I am asking that you join this fight with us. Anything that you can give would be greatly appreciated. If you can send some healing energy and positive vibrations our way - that would be terrific.
