Hey, everyone! McCloud and Nino here.

As this message is being written out, life is…life-ing on us.

A little backstory on us and why we’ve created a GoFundMe-

We recently got married (!!) back in November of 2022. It was a beautiful day for us, celebrating our love, and being surrounded by our family and friends. As we both come from very different and separate religious backgrounds, not all of our family was present physically. In any capacity - we celebrated and carried on with our lives as husbands.

In the summer of 2018, McClouds mom was formally diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis. This is paired with McClouds mom and sister living in our home as we began dating and throughout the duration of diagnosis and designated stages of care. McClouds sister has a form of cerebral palsy, takes medication for her respective needs and has stuck by her mothers side for 30+ years.

Upon the two of them hearing the news of our marriage, they became verbally abusive towards the two of us and were mistreating the physical home in common areas and their bedroom & bathroom. We both decided that we cannot live in a space where we are disrespected even when we work as hard as we can to ensure a comfortable life for the mom and sister (ie: trips to and from the doctor, grocery runs, furniture updates, so much money on maintaining their side of the home, etc).

In late/mid January of 2023, McClouds mom was admitted into the hospital for a standard health check up and his sister stuck by her moms side and went too. Over the course of 36 days, various doctors, attorneys, and state representatives were brought in due to hellacious allegations against us and the two of us needing to protect ourselves. All we wanted was to have both of them in places that can provide adequate care of their needs and we kept being told the same abusive slurs each and every day.

A few days ago, we entered their room per the permission of an attorney and what we saw was a monstrosity. Old food, wet stains, dust and debris, so much unnecessary hoarding that it was nearly impossible to maneuver throughout the room. It was - to best put it - revolting. Their bathroom was exceptionally moldy and dirty to where the tub itself had calcified mold on it. They very much neglected the home they stayed in and the two people who did all they could to help them.

It was reported to us that McClouds mother passed away due to intense health complications and his sister was placed in a group home for the developmentally disabled. As bittersweet of a moment it is (with McClouds mom no longer in pain and his sister able to be around 24/7 support), we’re left with a massive financial burden.

We are kindly and respectfully asking for $30,000 USD to help us with any unexpected medical/funeral costs, attorney fees, home repairs, & rehab/therapy/counseling for the two of us as we’ve endured years and years of toxicity and abuse.

These life occurrences were not the way we anticipated starting our marriage, so we are genuinely reaching out for any help available to us. Thank you and God Bless.
