Donate to help me fight Ovarian Cancer

Hi everyone, my name is Caitlin, I’m 23 and am fighting a rare ovarian cancer. Up until June of 2023 I was living a very normal life. I enjoyed working as a community carer, looking after the elderly enabling them to stay in their own homes. I live with my wonderful partner Oli and our rescue dogs, dachshund Cloud and crazy springer spaniel Oxley. I’m very lucky to have a strong, caring family around me. Unfortunately in the summer of 2023, I was admitted to The Royal Marsden hospital in London to begin a gruelling regime of Chemotherapy. I have completed 4 rounds of chemotherapy and my cancer is receding and my team are pleased with my progress. I have 2 more rounds of chemotherapy and possible radiotherapy. Once the cancer has receded my best chance to prevent the cancer returning is immunotherapy. This changes my immune system to enable it to fight future tumours that may return. Unfortunately this treatment isn’t funded by the NHS and costs up to £8000 per treatment every 3 weeks and may cost up to £200000. My consultant is writing to the drug companies to try and persuade them to partly fund my treatment but we need to raise substantial funds ourselves. That’s where you come in If you feel that you can donate anything at all to my fund I would really appreciate it. In these tough Financial Times I know what a big request that is but even if you could donate the price of a coffee or a takeaway and share my page far and wide I would be so thankful. I’ve got my whole life ahead of me and I’m not going to give up fighting! Thank you for taking the time to read my story any left over funds will be donated to Ovarian Cancer Action and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
