Donate to help me pay off my court costs

**UPDATE: Thank you SO much to all of you beautiful people that donated to help me pay my court costs. These types of displays of support just go to show that the force of the state is barely felt by the individual when we all come together in collective action. Any donations that I receive beyond the £440 will fund my music activism - i.e. releasing songs to funnel people into direct action with Just Stop oil and other climate activist groups - as well as help pay any future court/injunction costs (which I certainly will be bearing).

Hey, I'm Louise, I'm 25 and I'm a climate activist, i.e. supporter of Just Stop Oil.

If you don't know me, I've been arrested 6 times for taking non violent direct action to demand an end to all new oil and gas licences from the UK government - in order to secure us a liveable future.

I've even been to prison, following climbing a gantry on the M25 - you may have seen my viral testimony crying up the gantry.

Last week, I was found GUILTY of trying to save humanity (otherwise known as 'Wilful Obstruction of the Highway') in Colchester Magistrates' Court by District Judge King.

I was on trial for climbing on top of an oil tanker in April 2022, thereby immobilising it and directly stopping the supply of oil out of the UK's largest oil terminal, Navigator. I was there for just under 18 hours as part of a Just Stop Oil protest. My friend who was on the same oil tanker as me, who did the exact same action, was trialled in February in a different court with a different judge and found Not Guilty. Gotta love the justice system, right?

When delivering his verdict, Judge King said (I kid you not) "there is difference in opinion over the urgency and significance of climate change in the public" and "using the ballot box is the only way change SHOULD occur". Wow! Fuck the Suffragettes and Civil Rights movement and all the children alive right now who are too young to vote for a future that they currently don't have!!! Fuck future generations! Fuck everyone who isn't in the elite upper class earning £150k a year () like me! How lovely.

I received a 12 month conditional discharge for this "offence" as well as a fine (covering prosecution costs) of £424. As GoFundMe takes some commission, I've set the goal as £440.

I'm currently not earning any income as I'm trying to figure out my next steps regarding activism and life, so this fine will eat into the savings I have put aside to help me fund my music activism (i.e. releasing songs about climate/activism to try and funnel people into direct action). I was refused a monthly payment plan by the Judge for this reason - that I have savings. I must pay the fine in full by 3rd August.

Therefore, any help of ANY amount would be so appreciated, and would warm my heart!
