Donate to help Megan Kemper and family

We are fundraising for our dear friends and loved ones, Megan and Van Kemper, to help offset financial burdens that they will endure due to a very unexpected diagnosis of Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (internal liver bile duct cancer).

In May of this year, Megan started to notice abdominal distention and a lump in her stomach. Enduring abdominal pain that continued for weeks following, Megan sought answers through an Emergency Department. A CT scan was performed and revealed two large masses protruding from the left ovary (totaling 16inches) and a growth on her liver. They were referred to a Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York for consultation and were advised to return the week following to have a biopsy preformed.

The anticipation of results was agonizing and their worst fears came true.

Megan is expected to start chemotherapy within the next 2 weeks and will hopefully be able to undergo surgery to remove the cancerous tissue soon. She will miss work due to chemo infusions, side effects from the medications and recovery from surgery.

Megan is a nurse serving and making a difference in her community and Van has served in the Army for over 14 years.
