HELPING MENTAL HEALTH & SUICIDE PREVENTION CHARITIES
Donation protected
I feel super excited (and a bit terrified), to be collaborating with The Society Academy in Perth on a dance choreography to raise funds for mental health and suicide prevention charities.
I am not a dancer and performing for the public is something that is WAY out of my comfort zone and incredibly overwhelming.
I’m not one to give up easily, but to be honest, I have constantly thought of ditching this project due to the intense level of fear involved.
Now that I’ve announced this as a fundraiser, there’s no turning back and it will keep me accountable to complete this mission.
Mental health is a cause close to my heart, as I know people who have either attempted or died by suicide. With so many in our community facing challenges, I’m determined to make a difference. All donations will go towards various charities providing essential resources and support for those struggling to manage their mental fitness.
The hopelessness a person feels when contemplating suicide is often deeply overwhelming, touching every part of their mind and spirit. For many, this state can feel like being trapped in a dark, endless tunnel where any sense of light, relief, or possibility has disappeared. This intense feeling often leaves the person with a distorted belief that they are a burden to others or that their suffering will never end. They may feel numb to the joys of life, isolated from loved ones, and completely disconnected from a future where things might improve.
For so long, I have been a workaholic, living in my masculine energy and focusing on ambition and drive. But now, I’m embracing something new.
Through dance, I’m celebrating my femininity - connecting to a softer, more expressive side of myself that I haven’t fully explored before.
This project is a dream come true, as dance has been such a powerful outlet for me, helping me balance life’s demands and express emotions I often keep tucked away.
Together with the talented team at The Society Academy, we’re crafting a playful performance that embodies confidence and femininity.
The final video will be released in the new year!
