Hi everyone, I’m Brooke Anungazuk. The oldest daughter of Katie Ellanna. My family, we’re not the ones to usually ask for help, right now we are. We’ve seen communities use gofundme to donate to families for all different types of reasons. My little brother Killian (Mimi), is four years old and was diagnosed with Leukemia on September 27th, 2022. Him and my mom were medivaced to Anchorage. My stepdad was on the next plane out the next day. Yesterday, September 28th, he got a bone marrow biopsy. Today, September 29th he has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This type of Leukemia, is a fast spreading cancer of the blood and bone marrow.

This has been very shocking news to my parents, siblings, and family. As you know traveling back and forth between places starts to add up. My mom and Mimi’s dad Charles will be traveling a lot with my brother. They will be making there way to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

They will be in Seattle for awhile. The medical costs and coverage are unknown at this time. But anyone who has spent an extended amount of time in a hospital knows it adds up fast. So while my parents are gone I will be taking care of Gabby, Dade and Brea. Everything donated will go towards Mimi’s medical and supportive care. Mimi is a little ball of joy. He loves to bake with our mom, do the dishes, play with his army mans and stuffed animals. He loves to go everywhere, whether it’s berry picking, fishing, going for a ride or even just to the store. When we’re at the store he’ll ask random people what their names are and says it’s nice to meet them. He is the little boy that showed all of us to be kind, loving and caring.
