Hi, my name is Jessica and I am raising funds for my friend, Molly, who was the unfortunate target of a hate crime in downtown Denver. Molly lost housing last minute and took it as an opportunity to explore a new way of life. She decided to sleep outside with her friend Tim.
On the fourth night, September 7th, approximately around 12:30 am, she was awakened by a bright light flying towards her. It was the most intense flash she had ever experienced, followed by an earth shattering explosion. She said it was the loudest sound imaginable and then some. She had in ear plugs and still experienced ringing for days. Tim, is a musician who has still not regained full hearing, although is noticing improvement.
Molly had no idea what had just happened, but could hear Tim in the distance, asking if she was okay. She didn't notice her injuries until she looked at her right arm covered in blood, missing flesh. She looked around and noticed the impact of what had happened, their tents were destroyed. Tim is EMT certified and came over to examine her. Thankfully her injuries were not life threatening. A police report was made.
Molly is a talented artist. She is a sustainable fashion designer, specializing in patchwork. She is an intentional jewelry creator, using crystal energy to make jewelry with healing intentions. She also does mixed media art by bedazzling things with recycled materials. She paints in times of emotional processing.
Molly is a beautiful soul and did not deserve what happened to her. Unfortunately, those without homes are a target of hate crimes every day.
This fundraiser will go towards Molly's medical bills, her time away from work and her inability to create art without the full use of her arm. She will need help with future housing, bills, basic human needs, food and feminine care.
