Please help this Granmda get her life savings back

Hi! My name is Janelle and I’m making this for my mom. She is going to be 75 this year!! She is the type of person that would do anything for anyone. She raised her two step children as her own since 1985. She has helped raise my three children since 2006. If ever I was in a bind, she was there to help no questions asked, and she’s never accepted a cent back. In may of this year she was contacted by a scammer claiming to be from the government. He showed her “documents” that made her truly believe that her and her family were in trouble. She went against everything she knows to protect her family. In a months time, she sent this person 230,000 dollars. She cleaned out her 401k, bank accounts, and all her credit cards. She truly believed that this money would keep her family safe. 3 days ago she came out of her bedroom shaking and crying that she had been scammed. I was so confused about the whole situation. This is a woman who has been an accountant her entire life. She showed me all the emails and texts from this person and I couldn’t help but get so angry at her. He showed her arrest warrants for money laundering, and social security fraud. He made her fill out a social security affidavit with all her personal information. She truly thought this person was helping her. She believed with her heart that this money would make everything go away. We immediately went to the police department and opened up an investigation. The police officer initially laughed about the ordeal until he saw how much she lost. She worked up until the age of 73 and finally retired when I had my fourth child last June, so she could spend the rest of her time with her grandkids. All that is left is 10 thousand dollars. If you could please find it in your heart to donate any amount, I know she would be forever grateful. She is a good woman and didn’t deserve this. Scammers really do pry on the elderly and it really hurts when it hits this hard to home.
