Donate to Help Mommy Lucila's Hospital Bills

Hi, my name is Maria and I am here to ask for assistance to raise funds for my bestfriend's Mother, Lucila Dolosa who is currently in ICU of Royal Alexandria Hospital here in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

Mommy Lucila came to Canada as a tourist to visit her family and grandchildren. On March 15, she started having flu-like symptoms and was assisted by her family. Although, her condition deteriorated in the morning of March 17 where she was unconscious and unresponsive with visible sign of difficulty breathing. We called 911 and EMS responded promptly. Upon admission to Devon hospital, her blood pressure was 60/40, fever of 39C and her blood sugar level was 16.8.

Doctor's at Devon Hospital ran some tests and attended to Mommy Lucila urgently as she is severely dehydrated and deteriorating. Doctor explained that the results came in that she have high infection of unknown cause and have to be sent to City Hospital to get checked by specialists.

Mommy Lucila was transferred to Royal Alexandria and the emergency team informed us that she has to be treated in the ICU and her life is in serious danger. She was diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis and found infection in her lungs, kidneys and liver abscess and still fighting for her life in the Intensive Care Unit.

The financial medical burden is rapidlly accumulating. As a visitor in Canada, as of March 27, her bill is $98,000. We are overwhelmed by this unexpected crisis and are humbly asking everyone for assistance in covering her medical bills.
