Donate to help mother & wife fighting cancer

Hi, my name is Lauryn, and I am fundraising for my sister Ashlyn. Ashlyn is a mother to two beautiful kids, and a wife to Kyle Boynton, a fighter pilot for the US Air-force.

Ashlyn, as of 3 weeks ago was diagnosed with clear cell carcinoma in her mouth, which happens to be extremely rare. Since her diagnosis it has been a wild ride.

She had her first invasive 14 hr surgery on Valentine’s Day- reconstructing her jaw and removing several of her teeth, removing all her lymph nodes in her neck, as well as having bone/blood vessel grafts taken from her leg.

Ashlyn has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

Many people have reached out asking as to how they can help.

We have started this gofundme to alleviate some of the financial stress of her surgery, the in-home care she will be receiving, formula for her feeding tubes, and the reconstruction of the teeth she lost due to the cancer.

With the high likelihood of needing chemotherapy/radiotherapy treatments this gofundme will help tremendously.

“Just another quick update for those following what’s going on, I’m still in the hospital We were hopeful that maybe I’d be going home today, but now they’re thinking maybe this weekend. Still having issues getting pain under control, and I definitely don’t want to go home at the level of pain I’m at and then not have the medications available! Also doing some testing for a possible infection, just started swelling in my face again and so I’ve been getting more blood drawn and got a chest xray.

I’ve been really trying to be positive the last week but yesterday,and the night before,and the night before, and the night before, etc have just SUCKED. So I finally just decided that maybe this part of my life just… sucks. And that’s ok. kind of let myself have a hard time and back to trying to be positive today. I see all the texts I’m sent, all the sweet messages, all the donations, and it warms my heart and always lifts my spirits!!! ❤️

We still don’t have pathology results for my lymph nodes, but the doctors have told me they’re leaning towards doing some radiation. I got my stitches taken out of my neck and 3/4 of my drain lines taken out! I think the feeding tube will be the death of me… definitely my least favorite thing.
