Donate to help Mr. Orr

As many of you have heard by now, Mr. Orr, a dedicated teacher who has been an integral part of our preschool family for many years and has positively impacted the lives of numerous children, unfortunately had to abruptly leave his role at the preschool.  The details of the departure will not be shared here, but the root of his departure lies in the unfortunate truth that microaggressions and prejudices, though may not be intended to be harmful, can create an environment for a teacher where they feel unsafe.  No one should be othered by their choice to express themselves via appropriate clothing or nail polish or hairstyles. 

Clearly an unexpected departure from your daily paycheck can wreak havoc on a life leaving Mr. Orr with the stress of paying bills while trying to find a new job during the holidays.  In an effort to help him and to express our community’s profound gratitude for his unwavering commitment to our students, we’ve started this Go Fund Me to get him through the next two months and the holidays.  Even if you do not know Mr. Orr personally, a donation would also serve to celebrate diversity and individuality and to hold a stance against prejudice.  Every bit helps.
