Hello! My name is Jamil, and I am starting a fundraiser to help both my friends in Egypt transition. Both of them struggle as is due to their ID cards being the same as their sex from birth, which makes it very hard to find any job, and any job that they do find, it is extremely difficult to get by due to extreme anti-social behaviour and discrimination.

They both have been medically and socially transitioning for years to the point where they no longer resemble their same sex from birth, however sex reassignment surgery is a requirement in order for them to get the sex marker on their ID cards changed, and unfortunately there's no other way around this.

I had met one of them on a Multiplayer Minecraft server 2 years ago, and her story has been terrific to me over the years. Unfortunately, that same person had money saved up for years and tried to transition already through someone she thought she trusted, but unfortunately got blocked several months later and lost 15000 USD from the recipient as they were a middleman between her and the doctor. This insurmountable loss caused her to undergo a very depressing time due to the loss of a large amount of money and stress. She does not have the means to save up this amount of money anymore due to the struggles and unsafety in Egypt as of present date which is why this is so crucial.

They have finally found a trustworthy doctor that can carry out their reassignment surgery, however it is behind a hefty cost of roughly $8400 USD per person, on top of multiple different fees and legal paperwork. This is something neither of them can make reality which is why I desperately need your help as I want to change these peoples' lives and secure their safety in such a dangerous third-world country.

By donating, you'll be helping a trans woman and a trans man from Egypt start living their lives normally. The dangers of being trans in Egypt, struggling to find jobs and ID cards aside; getting surgery is something they’ve been dreaming of for years - not only will getting surgery allow them to work and have a better financial life, it’ll also alleviate their dysphoria and improve their overall quality of life.
