Donate to help Nemesio and his family

Hello, my name is Katelyn. My husband Nemesio Gonzalez was diagnosed with Pneumonia at the end of July and instead of getting better it got much, much worse. He was admitted to the hospital on Monday August 22nd with severe Pneumonia in his right lung, which we layer found out was mostly collapsed. He underwent surgery Wednesday (8/24/2022) morning to remove the infection in his lung. The doctor said it was worse than they imagined and a 2 hour thorposcopic surgery quickly turned into a 4 hour surgery with a 4-5" incision in his side. Nemesio is out of surgery and currently recovering in isolation due to hospital guidelines and his condition.

We have been married 12 years and have 3 kids. We have always just barely had our ends meet but never a lot of extra. Nemesio does not have insurance as the premium rates were just more than we could afford. We have applied for financial assistance through the hospital as he does not qualify for Medicaid. His first ER bill from the end of July was over $3,000 and that was only a couple of hours and tests, I'm afraid of what kind of bills we are going to face for a week+ hospital stay, surgery, ambulance ride, etc. He will also be out of work for a month+ due to the more complicated surgery. He is our only source of income - though I am looking for a job, it's just tentative on release dates for my husband from the hospital.

We are not ones to ask for help. We always give whatever we can and ask nothing in return. I am afraid of what our financial future may hold and hope we can keep the home over our children's heads. If there is anyway you can donate we would be beyond grateful for your help.
