Help provide medical aid for civilians in Gaza
Hi, my name is Mehnaz and I am completing a walk to the local hospital (Queen Elizabeth). This is to raise funds to send to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
MAP has been working with Palestinian communities, to deliver locally-led health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement.
They have offices in the West Bank, Gaza, Jerusalem, Lebanon and London. With the extensive local knowledge and experience, they work closely with communities, hospitals, clinics and healthcare providers to coordinate care and medical aid even where there are severe restrictions on access.
The walk from my house to Queen Elizabeth Hospital is 5 miles away, and according to Google Maps should take 1 hour and 53 minutes by walking.
If you personally know me then you will know that it will take me a lot longer than that to complete the walk, and I know that I would not be able to survive even an hour in Gaza given the circumstances that are currently taking place. This is the very least that I could do in trying to get the people of Gaza the medical assistance that they so badly need.
Please consider donating, however small the amount may be.
The date of the walk has not yet been confirmed
