Donate to support refugee and asylum-seekers!
North East Solidarity and Teaching (N.E.S.T) is a student-led Newcastle University Students’ Union Go Volunteer project - bit of a mouthful, we know - designed to educate, empower and integrate the forced migration community in the North East of England.
This year, N.E.S.T is raising money to purchase supermarket gift cards for refugee and asylum-seeking families who are food insecure and struggle to purchase essential resources. A small donation can help go towards a mother in need buying some nappies for her baby, or a recently arrived child from Afghanistan getting a nourishing meal.
Please donate today to give your support to refugee and asylum-seeking families in the North East this winter period.
Newcastle University students volunteer their time to teach English, run school sessions, and provide community support for forced migrants. For more information about exactly what we do, head to our NUSU page here: https://nusu.co.uk/volunteering/projects/nest
