To help cremation of Michael’s remains
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I am setting up this fundraiser for my brother Michael Yecyec who passed away on the 19th of July after suffering a cardiac arrest on the ward leaving my family utterly devastated and heartbroken.
On the 24th of June, my brother was rushed to hospital due to chest pain and had to undergo an emergency open heart surgery. He was then transferred to ICU after his operation. During his stay in ICU, he had to undergo another operation for his leg due to compartment syndrome.
We were so delighted when we found out that his operation was successful and his condition was becoming more stable. He was then discharged from ICU and was transferred to the ward few days later. However, he went into cardiac arrest unexpectedly on the ward yesterday, 19th of July and could not be revived.
As per his last wishes and our family's cultural traditions, we are earnestly seeking to bring him back home to the Philippines, where he can rest in peace surrounded by our loved ones, our parents, his 4mos old baby and the land he cherished.
However, due to the sudden nature of his passing, we are struggling to cover the expenses associated with transporting his remains to the Philippines. The cost of cremation is significant, and we are appealing to our community to help us raise funds needed to bring my brother back home.
I would greatly appreciate every donation, no matter how small. I understand not everyone is able to give, but if you could share this page to others, I would be extremely grateful. I wish to thank everyone who gives a donation, no matter how small, it will really make a difference.
Your donation will help ensure that my brother is able to return to Philippines and be laid to rest with the respect and dignity he deserves.
