Hello,

We are Michaela and Cass, two Melbourne Tigers’ mums.

We were lucky enough to have Rishi as our assistant coach in our boys U12 team last season. For those of you that don't know, Rishi is very passionate about basketball! He coached in his home country of India for many years and moved to Melbourne earlier this year and quickly found coaching jobs with Chase Basketball, Bayside Warriors, Melbourne Tigers and refereeing at MSAC. Our sons and so many other young players loved training and playing with Rishi due to his kind-hearted approach and nurturing nature. In just a short time in our country he has made a big impact on our basketball community.

On November 3rd, Rishi was involved in a serious accident which resulted in multiple facial fractures, spinal bruising, head contusions and shoulder injuries. He was immediately taken to The Alfred major trauma ward where he spent the next 3 weeks. He underwent facial reconstruction surgery and was then transferred to Epworth Hospital where he had intensive rehabilitation.

All money raised here will go directly to Rishi to help him ease the financial stress of paying his rent, bills and living expenses whilst he recuperates and until he can resume work.
