Help Save a Home for Wildlife in Port Charlotte
Tax deductible
AS OF 9-24-2024 we've raised a total of $4,150 across all of our fundraising platforms of our $10,000 goal. $5,850 to go!
As humans keep building, where will the wildlife go? They need homes too! We save "stepping stones" of neighborhood greenspace that will provide food, shelter and a place to raise young for neighborhood wildlife amidst residential development.
HELP The Environmental Conservancy of North Port And Surrounding Areas purchase and protect a ¼ acre land parcel (Lot 7, Wendy Terrace) in Port Charlotte off of Chamberlain Blvd. (Charlotte County) to permanently protect nature/land for wildlife, native plants and trees!
This lot diagonally abuts Lot 16, Chris Terrace that we successfully purchased in February 2024, creating the opportunity for habitat connectivity. SEE MORE PHOTOS BELOW!
Of significant note not found on any parcel we have acquired to date is a wet area that appears to be wet/boggy year-round based on the growth of tall/large wet plants/trees such as Carolina Willow around its perimeter.
HOW: RAISE $10,000 by September 30, 2024.
Donations can be made:
Via GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/91759a69
Via PayPal on our website www.ecnorthport.com
Checks are also accepted, please make checks payable to The Environmental Conservancy of North Port, Inc. and mail to 3465 Alfred Road, North Port, FL 34286.
Each donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact on preserving our local greenspaces and creating safe habitats for wildlife.
We are a 501c3 non-profit entity permanently conserving undeveloped natural land parcels in neighborhoods of North Port and its Surrounding Areas (Sarasota and Charlotte Counties) to save nature by providing greenspace for wildlife/native plants/native trees as our area continues to develop at a rapid pace.
Providing “stepping stone” habitat for wildlife in the form of protected natural neighborhood land parcels is the best way to help ensure they will always have a place to call home.
Greenspace in our neighborhoods benefits nature and humans alike!
