If you are new here and have no idea what's going on, let me bring you up to speed.

My Lady Jane is a historical fantasy romance show by Amazon Prime Video that turns the tale of the 9-day queen on its head. Adapted from the best-selling YA novel by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows, My Lady Jane draws on classic romance and fantasy tropes and delivers it with sharp and witty writing, a soundtrack reminiscent of A Knight's Tale (2001), and a ripe for the Tudor history books.

With nods to cult classic movies like The Princess Bride (1987) and Ella Enchanted (2004), this female-led show claps back at the "damsel in distress" cliche and reimagines Lady Jane as the savior of her own fate. This TV show is one of the most formidable book to TV adaptations to grace the screens in recent years.

In the short time since its release on Prime Video (June 27, 2024), its garnered a loyal fan base, steadily increasing viewership with over 300 million minutes watched, and rave reviews. It even bolstered a staggering 94% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Given the show’s success, fans waited eagerly for weeks on end to receive word of its renewal from Prime Video -- It never came.

After giving the show not even 8 weeks to solidify its prowess, Amazon Prime announced it wouldn’t be renewing the critical darling for a second season due to not reaching its desired audience.

The news sent shock waves throughout the fandom while many news outlets and fans of cancelled programming panned the streaming service’s decision. The choice ultimately fueled discourse over who should be allowed to call the shots and seal a show’s fate.

Rather than sitting waiting to be rescued, we were inspired by Lady Jane’s moxy and determination and decided to take matters into our own hands by echoing these words throughout the kingdom: “F*ck that!”

Shortly after the news, the My Lady Jane fandom banded together and launched a campaign to #savemyladyjane. The campaign as amassed a large following, including a petition with 18K signatures, trending hashtags on social media channels expressing public outcry, and numerous news articles.

The My Lady Jane fandom has boundless energy akin to that of an Ethian horse, and we are not slowly down any time soon! But to ensure the powers that be are still listening, we want to express the seriousness of this venture with a token of our undying gratitude for putting “F*ck around and find out” to the actual test.

To do this we will need your help and support in the form of generous donations. I cannot publicly disclose what the money is being used for because that would ruin the surprise and we all love a good surprise. Just know that your honest donations are intended to inflict all the warm feelings that the show has given us (because we think Prime Video forgot) and will be well-documented for posterity as well as for sheer entertainment value.

A little goes a long way for what we had in mind, so give what you can, but if each of us contributes a modest donation of $25 each I’m sure we can get the job done!
