Donate to help send books to the Dubarwa Region in Eritrea

Hello, we are 4 undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota who have created a new group called ARISE, which is an acronym for Amplifying Resources To Inspire and Support Eritreans. The reason we have created this group is because we are aiming to connect and bridge the gap with our youth back home in Eritrea. The group is dedicated to fundraising for different supplies that our youth could benefit from back home.

Our first project this year was to collect children's books for schools in the Dubarwa Region and send them through a shipment that leaves to Eritrea early April. We have contacted the ministry of education in Eritrea, and they agreed to collect the fisto of books we collect and distribute it to the school. We have already started to collect books from our University community and free libraries, where we now have over 300 books. We are fundraising for money to cover the expenses of sending the fisto to Eritrea and also the taxes on the shipment for sea couriers to release it to the school once it gets to Eritrea. We appreciate any help you can give to allow us to accomplish our goal in getting these books to the students who need them. Thank you for being a vessel for impact with this project!
