Donate to Help Shawn Logan's Medical Expenses

Friends and Family, it is with great concern that we announce the misfortune of our dear friend Shawn Logan. Shawn’s health issues started in 2005 with he had his first heart attack. The heart attack took a toll on his body causing him to need a bypass in 2009. It didn’t stop there, in 2011 he experienced Atrial fibrillation (A-Fib) and needed a Heart Ablation to resolve the A-Fib.

 

This could have knocked anyone out but not our Shawn. While working his full-time job, he went on to become the Heart Walk Team Captain here at Alford Media and led the charge to fund raise for the American Heart Association (AHA). Behind Shawn's leadership we were able to help raise over $20,000 for the AHA!

 

Now it is Shawn who needs our help. He was recently discharged from the hospital after being admitted for an infection of the bloodstream, a condition known as sepsis. Shawn was battling a diabetic ulcer on his right foot until it became severely infected. During his month battle in the hospital Shawn unfortunately last his place of employment.

 

While working at Alford Media for over 20 years Shawn wore many hats from warehouse worker, pull writer, and before the end of his time here oversaw our shipping and receiving. While working at Alford, Shawn also met Kasey who was working in the accounting department. They later got married and had their son, Kage. Kage is now twelve and their days are spent together camping, spending time outdoors, and cheering on their favorite sport teams the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks.
