Please help the Skidmore's after the loss of BABY NASH...

Hello... Courtney's momma here...

Courtney and Justin miscarried approximately 3 years ago (after 7 weeks) and we grieved deeply, but we trusted the Lord had the master plan. But---this pregnancy was proving to be different. We, as a family, were rounding the corner to the finish line...cheering them on as they had 4 weeks to go. We were confident we would be welcoming "Baby Skid" into the family...soon! Courtney had a 36 week check Wednesday, April 3, in the morning. She called and talked to her dad on her way to the clinic. I was busy preparing food and baking for her 2nd baby shower that was happening just 3 short days later...on Saturday, April 6th. They hung up as she neared the clinic. About 30 minutes later she text, "mom, I am not sure what is going on, but the ultrasound tech said she would be right back" as she excused herself. She text, "Please pray". We immediately started praying. She called a few minutes later and thru tears said, "mom, there is no heartbeat." I sank to the floor, and said "no honey...no..." "Oh, Jesus...." We were in shock... We immediately packed up and headed to their home and continued to pray. The next several days would turn into a challenge like no other. So many steps and hurdles to jump over to bring Baby Nash Steven into this world; from getting her body "ready", to inducing labor, to trying to get him "positioned", to finally---reluctantly--- having to do surgery...a C-Section... because nothing was working. To stay the least, we are all...devastated. Courtney and Justin were able to have Nash in their room for about 30 hours, to meet his EVER SO PROUD Big Brother Abel, his uncles and aunts and his grandparents. He stole all of our hearts as we held him, and rocked him and wept, knowing he couldn't stay. It truly was a special, special time that none of us will forget. Their little family is crushed and in need of "lots of prayers", trying to figure out how they will go on without sweet little Nash. Abel said, "Grandma...God doesn't always give us what "we" want. I said, "I know honey...but we have to "Trust" that He knows best." "It's not always easy ...but we have to TRUST".

So many friends and family members have reached out, asking how they can help. So we decided to set up a gofundme account for hospital bills and personal bills that will mount up, as time off of work is truly necessary to recover and to grieve.

Halos of St Croix Valley will be assisting Courtney and Justin with the funeral arrangements and costs, to which we are, ever so grateful...

From the Skidmores and the Hilleshiems...WE THANK YOU... from the bottom of our hearts...
