Hi, our names are Akvile and Chelsea and we are fundraising for our very dear friend, Tammy Motley on the Central Coast.

Last fall, Tammy was diagnosed with a form of breast cancer called Invasive Ductile Carcinoma Stage 3a. As she began her journey to recover, she, unfortunately, had to close her successful massage therapy practice and stopped working November 18, 2021.

Now, after 20 intense but successful rounds of chemotherapy, she needs surgery, followed by radiation, then a possibility of having more rounds of chemotherapy pills. The hospital has not been able to schedule her surgery yet, thus unexpectedly causing delays in the next steps of her journey. She and her wonderful husband, Tim and their dog Creature had planned for this to take about six months and now it looks like it may take another year.

With Tammy unable to work as she continues to fiercely fight and recover, Tim has continued working and taking on as many projects as possible to help cover their expenses, but it's not enough through the remaining procedures and upcoming months of living expenses.

So now we come to you in an effort to collectively help our friends. Please consider donating what you can to help them through this difficult time. All funds will be donated directly to Tammy and Tim to prevent them from going into debt as she goes through her remaining treatments and beats this cancer.

Tammy is a beacon of light, healing, joy, and strength in our community - near and far - through her friendships to her massage therapy skills. She has been supportive of so many of us through our struggles and has shared in the excitement of our wins. We know how big and genuine her heart and smile are - she lights up a room - so let's help shed some light for her in return and bring her and Tim ease during this time so she can continue with her medical treatments and reduce their financial stress.
