Donate to help the children of migrant workers

Dear friends and family,
As many of you know, I currently work for an organization that supports and assists Migrant Domestic Workers in Lebanon. In a couple of days, I will be heading to Nairobi for a research project and to meet some women who have returned to Kenya after living and working in dire conditions in Lebanon.
These women have left their country searching for better economic opportunities in Lebanon to support and offer better lives for their children and families. Many of them were deceived through false promises of a salary, decent working and living conditions, and the hope of saving money to support their children’s education or their own. However, Lebanon’s restrictive and exploitative Kafala (sponsorship) system traps tens of thousands of migrant domestic workers in highly abusive conditions amounting, at worst, to modern-day slavery. The women I will be meeting have experienced different forms of abuse and have not received their rightful wages: they have either been underpaid or not paid at all. Returning home with nothing to show for, after living through extremely difficult working conditions, has affected many of them.
Most women believe education is key to escaping poverty and wish to provide for their children this opportunity. For this reason, I have decided to fundraise for their children's education to alleviate some of their challenges. The average school fee per term for students in primary school is around 60 USD (50 GBP).
Please join me in helping migrant mothers to invest in their children's future by supporting their education
We all know how easily we can spend 60 USD, whilst this same amount can help give a child access to education.
Every small donation helps!
Thank you all so much for your support!
