Donate to Help the Deeb Family

Hello everyone,
My name is George Deeb, and I set up this campaign for my wife Mahida and for our family to help offset some of the costs of her treatment for Leukemia, and bone marrow transplant.
Mahida was first diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on July 13, 2022, while at Bethesda West Hospital in Boynton Beach. She was transferred to the Blood and Marrow Transplant Center at the Miami Cancer Institute, a part of Baptist Hospital in Kendall, where she underwent chemotherapy, and is now in remission. The next step for Mahida was more intense chemo treatment followed by the transplant.
UPDATE:
Mahida received her transplant on December 16, 2022. After the transplant, Mahida had weekly blood work done, and periodic bone marrow biopsies to make sure her cancer was gone for good.
Unfortunately, the last biopsy in July 2023 showed that her cancer is coming back in the form of a more aggressive form of AML, called AML-MRC. This will require her to undergo chemo again, and then receive additional marrow transplants.
The cost for all of these treatments has become very high. Between hospitals, doctors, and medications, the monthly medical expenses have become too large to manage.
Mahida has been on an extended medical leave of absence from her job, through FMLA. Her insurance coverage has lapsed, even after subscribing through COBRA, which costs $1970 a month. This is an expense that we have been unable to manage.
After depleting our savings, and maxing out our credit cards, we are still short of meeting the financial requirements to keep her treatment on track. We have downsized everything in order to save whatever we can. We are moving into an apartment to cut our expenses, until Mahida is healthy again.
Please donate to help Mahida continue her treatment, and recover from this disease. Also, please share this link with your contacts, and on your social media accounts to help Mahida get this done before cancer becomes even more aggressive..
Thank you, and God bless you all.
