Hello. My name is Juli Raphael and I’m coordinating this fundraiser to help my sister Lisa and her husband Chris with bills and transportation costs so they can be with their son Christopher, who is being placed in hospice care. My Nephew Christopher is 33 years old, has severe autism and is non verbal. Christopher requires constant supervision as he suffers from PICA (a condition in which one ingests non-edible items). While at the care facility where he lives, he ingested several non-edible items while unsupervised. Sadly, Christopher has been hospitalized since Christmas Eve with bowel obstructions leading to massive infection. He endured several surgeries but the infection worsened. My sister has not left his side; living in Christopher’s room since Christmas Day. Chris does not have paid leave for missed days of work, therefore donations will allow him to take a leave to be with his son for his last few days. If you could please find it in your hearts to help them alleviate the added burden of financial stress and worry, I know it would mean the world to them as they face the worst possible thing a parent can go through.

Chris and Lisa also have another adult son in residential care and a special needs adult daughter they care for at home. If you are unable to donate at this time, prayers for Christopher and the family are always appreciated.
