Help the Kirklands adopt their foster daughter
Donation protected
Dave and Tracey Kirkland are looking to make their foster daughter a permanent part of their family. Tracey first met the birth mother several years ago as she was the daughter of an old classmate of Tracey's. During the birth mother's 3rd pregnancy, Tracey began ministering to and counseling her. Their relationship grew over time, and as Tracey started taking her to church the birth mother confided what was happening with her children. Dave and Tracey knew they were meant to help. They applied and were approved for kinship care of her two older children, but they went to another home. When DSS took custody of the infant, the judge placed her in the care of Dave and Tracey.
The Kirklands are no strangers to raising children, with four grown boys of their own (aka the "bruncles") and 8 grandchildren, they are well-versed in giving love and affection. At a time when these empty nesters should be enjoying life and relaxing with each other, they instead found themselves up for middle of the night feedings and diaper changes of a 6-month-old. This is not where they thought their lives would be, but it's where God led them. Over the past six months, our whole family has come to know and love "Squirmy," the nickname given to her by Dave. After a long day of adventures with Tracey, Squirmy loves to crawl into Dave's lap and play with his beard while falling asleep. God placed Squirmy into their lives for a reason and the Kirklands are ready to commit to her forever.
Adoption fees are expensive so I am asking for help on behalf of these wonderful people who are just trying to do God's work. Thank you for any donation you are able to give. We would also love prayers!
