Hi everyone! My name is Mark Vaught. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help support my best friend Imanol and his family. A few days ago while Imanol was checking on a noise outside of his home, he was shot by 2 assailants that were attempting to break into a car. He was shot once in the abdomen and once in the leg. The good news is that he is stable after several hours in the operating room and then regaining his strength on a ventilator. Now that the ventilator is out, he is recovering in the hospital and is surrounded by his loving wife and family. Thankfully, he is out of the worst of it but it is a long road ahead until he is back on his feet.

Imanol and his wife Nicole have 2 beautiful young children named Enzo and Ella. He is a small business owner and a USAF veteran. He is a very close friend of mine and as you can imagine, this has been very difficult news to take in. Some of you might remember him from Nanci and my wedding day, as the lively photographer snapping photos with a huge grin on his bearded face. Ima is a family man, a friend, a father, and a devoted husband and we love him very much.
