Hi, my name is Abigail Steiger and I am trying to raise funds for 4 of the families affected by Exodus Construction. Ann Marie Goddard of Charlestown was arrested for embezzlement and fraudulent conversion, unlawful appropriation, and obtaining money by false pretenses or impersonation. This left these 4 families drained of their life savings and some even homeless with many having liens on their property. For some this nightmare has been on going for almost 3 years. All 4 of these families are in contact with each other daily and hope that this gofundme may help recuperate some of the money lost as it is believed a majority of their money has been spent by Ann Marie Goddard.
The Steiger's of Charlestown had their family home ripped down in hopes of a complete rebuild. The 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home was estimated to cost around 492k, they are now at a loss of almost a Million dollars. The life savings of a war veteran who served 27 years in the USAF and his wife who has lost almost her whole retirement has been stolen and left them and their 17 year old son homeless.
The Grave's of North Kingstown relocated to Rhode Island in hopes of building a new home to raise their 3 young children in. Ann Marie Goddard portrayed herself and her business as the best option the Grave's had to make their dreams come true. They have lost almost 100k and had no work done on their build. Exodus Construction later told them they did not have their money and could not build their house.
The Ferrucci's of Narraganset sold their 2 properties in hopes of building their dream home on the beautiful coast of Narragansett. Their build was estimated to first cost 284k and then raised to almost 420k. The Ferrucci's have lost almost 156k and were left with an unfinished house, nowhere to go and many liens.
The Stukus's of Exeter had signed contract for a build costing almost 1 million at the tail end of Ann Maries predatory spree, they luckily saw my post trying to spread the word of what was going on and only lost 15k but were being pushed to give a down payment close to 100k.
Thank you for the long read and we are hoping our local communities may be able to come together and help these families in need.
