Donate to help Tika with Medical equipment

Hi, my name is Chloe, I am helping my cousin Tika created this Go Fund Me in hopes of being able to raise a bit of money to help pay for some medical devices.

Tika has been diagnosed with a neurological disorder called "Conversion Disorder". Conversion disorder is a neurological condition that disrupts how your brain works. This causes real, physical symptoms that a person can’t control. Symptoms can include seizures, weakness or paralysis, or reduced input from one or more senses (sight, sound, etc.). It almost imitates the same reaction the body would have to a stroke. This disorder has greatly affected Tika's left side of her body which caused full weakness and some paralysis.

Tika is currently doing rehab with the help of physiotherapy and occupational therapy to try and regain as much physical function back. Unfortunately, Tika cannot return home unless she can get some medical equipment such as a low-rise medical bed and medical lift recliner to help with her independent transfers.

Tika has learned that these medical assistive devices are not covered by the government. This is why we decided to try and create this Go Fun Me. Any donations will be greatly appreciated as every penny helps.
