HELP TIM MIMKEN & HIS SON, JOSHUA, REBUILD THEIR HOMES
Donation protected
We are Michael and Eve Mimken. My brother, Tim Mimken and his son, Joshua Mimken, have a combined family of 14 who live in Western North Carolina. Hurricane Helene flood waters overtook both homes.
We asking for your help with our brother's family who lost their homes from Hurricane Helene. Much of Western North Carolina has been significantly impacted by Hurricane Helene's devastating effects. Both Tim and Joshua and their families lost their homes, and need to rebuild. 10 out of the 14 family members are currently without a place to call home. During the flooding, a small creek near their home rose, dramatically, overtaking their home. The torrent of water caused 3 trees to fall on the house, washed out the foundation, and then caused the house to collapse. The second house was flooded with 6 feet of water and mud. Both homes lost their personal belongings including at least 3 vehicles and separate barns.
They are homeless. They have started to retrieve what belongings remain and salvage any personal items. Although, they may receive some government assistance, they will need to replace nearly everything they owned. They will use the money to rebuild and restore their homes and replace their personal belongings.
Many of our family and friends have asked how they can help; to make a meaningful difference. Your donation, no matter the size, will help toward rebuilding their home and assist with temporary housing and living needs.
PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to donate, Gofundme has a section below your donation amount where you can choose to leave a tip that goes to Gofundme, not to Tim and Joshua’s family. The tip amount is not required and is set at 17%. If you choose to leave a tip, you can slide the scale to any amount you want.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping them to rebuild their lives.
