Hi everyone.

Last year, we had water damage in our basement from a flood. We cleaned it best we could and actually had the ceilings opened up and remediated shortly after and thought all was well.

Fast forward to this year, Meeko ripped up the flooring in the basement and we noticed what looked like mold under the flooring. So we ripped it all up and had it tested only to find a bunch of different molds downstairs that can be harmful to your health.

Because of the harmful mold and the research I did on it once I was informed just how bad it was, it was decided that the boys would stay at their dads until it could get taken care of. This was July. After 2 months of having multiple remediation companies here, (one of which did a shotty remediation job and made it worse by opening up the walls and causing it to be more airborne), a mold hygienist, trying to get homeowners insurance to cover it, getting a million quotes, etc… it has been determined it will cost upwards of $25K to completely remediate the entire basement now.

We’re at a loss. We want our kids back. And we’re not sure where to turn. Thankfully, the levels on the first and second floor are safe so Ang, myself and the animals are safe enough here for now, but in order for the kids to come back, we need to get this done. So, I am not here to beg or plead for anything, but I am here to share our gofundme in case anyone feels inclined to help.

I’m not sure what else to say other than thank you for reading and for your consideration. I’m doing everything I can to make extra money to be able to help out with some of the costs but right now we are living paycheck to paycheck in a house I bought when my monthly income was much higher than it is now.
