Please help us fight Ashley's bone cancer

Hi Friends, we are Cathy and Mike Flynn. Please help us as we help our beautiful newly tripawd Akita, Ashley in her fight against cancer. Our story... We rescued our beautiful Akita Ashley in 2017 and she's been our baby girl ever since we met her. We love her so much. In mid October, we noticed her slightly limping on her right front leg. Having the knowledge that her sibling sadly had bone cancer last year, we didn't hesitate and took her to the vet right away. After a few vet visits to her primary vet, we then went to an oncology vet and she had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive cancer. We then saw the surgeon. She has a surgery appointment to amputate her leg scheduled for next week (December 28, 2023). Without the surgery, the tumor will grow causing her more and more pain. We've never found ourself in a position to ask for help and this is really difficult for us to do. We've already paid out over $6,000 and have only received about $1,700 from insurance even though we have a major medical plan for her. They just denied the oncology vet claim because the reason for the visit was named the same as her primary vet's claim. This is due to per condition yearly limits, which we have learned are very low. The amputation that we have scheduled will need to be pushed out due to yearly limits for this insurance. We are hoping to reschedule for the first week in January. Their coverage for major medical is not what we expected and we never expected our Ashley to have bone cancer. Here's what we are looking at... The surgery range is $7,297.44-$8,262.87. After that, she'll need 6 treatments 3 weeks apart of chemo. The chemo care plan total cost is a range of $5,645 - $9,441 for the 6 treatments. Their limits listed in the plan will cover only a small fraction of these costs. Please help us help Ashley in this fight and thank you so much.
