Hello, my name is Jessika and I am fundraising to help my horse get the proper surgery he needs. He recently fell very sick and it crushed me. I called an emergency vet out and she performed several tests to find out why my guy had a high fever, wasn’t eating and was on the ground. After days passed, there was no breaking the fever or even getting him to eat or drink water. I reached out to the vet again and here we are. After an extensive dental exam, they found the unthinkable. A previous float gone bad. My horse had a tooth that had broke off and was lodged into his cheek, creating a very painful abscess. Further investigation led to fractured molars, one was a baby the others are adult. He needs to be seen by a specialist to get these teeth removed. He will be getting radiographs of his jaw to find really how far the fractured go. As of right now it seems to be about 3 inches. I cannot believe my poor baby has endured this much pain and suffering. Because his teeth were done two months ago, I trusted they were done right. He has not been able to correctly chew and break down his hay, leading to a very serious impaction in his small intestine. The impaction led to his small intestine even getting moved to the right out of place a little. We are now at this point where his procedure is going to cost a lot, but I will do whatever it takes to make sure he is comfortable and healthy again. I never want to see an animal in the pain I saw him in. The donations are going straight to the vet clinic to help manage the upcoming bills. We have a long road to recovery, and if you can help, I am forever grateful. Thank you for reading our story.
