In memory of William Green

Donation protected
It is with the heaviest of hearts we share that William Green lost his courageous fight with leukemia and passed away peacefully in his sleep on the 14th of January, with his beloved Mum and Dad (Sarah and Tim) by his side. Will faced his battle over the past 18 months with immense bravery, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family every step of the way.

The Green family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of kindness, generosity, and support they have received on this agonising journey.

Many of you have asked how you can continue to help, so we are reopening this page to help the Greens give Will the send-off he truly deserves.

The Greens thank you all for your love and support through these most difficult of times.

Details about Will's memorial will be available and shared soon.

NB: $95,000 was generously raised and subsequently used and spent to help William during his illness.
All contributions past this amount and from here on in will now be used to give him the send off he deserves.

My name is Alicia, and together with some dear friends, Amy and Maddy, we are starting this page to help raise some funds for William Green and his family.

On Wednesday 5th July, 2023, ten-year-old Will Green was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was a devastating blow for Will, his parents Sarah and Tim, and his little sister Margot.

For those that don’t know Will, he’s a brilliant kid. He’s kind, gentle, loyal and funny. The world needs more Will Greens.

Within 24 hours of being diagnosed. Will began treatment. Will’s type of leukemia is High Risk T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It requires intense treatment for the next two years. He will be unable to attend school during this time, and he will need constant home care when he’s not at hospital.

Sarah and Tim have had to put their work lives on hold to care for Will, which will obviously put additional financial stress on the family.

Will has an amazing team of doctors around him and will be calling the Kids Cancer Ward at the Children’s Hospital his new “home away from home” for now.

So, how can we help Will and his family?
We are hoping that we can in some way ease the family’s financial burden, as they drop everything to be by Will’s side.
Their amazing families have rallied behind them, helping every step of the way and helping to look after 3-year-old Margot and make her transition to this new norm as easy as possible.

Sarah and Tim have been such supportive friends to so many of us. This beautiful family mean the world to us. We know there are many of you who also feel the same way and who have kindly reached out to the family. If you are in a position to do so, please help Will and his family.

Please note: NAB bank debit and credit cards do not allow payments to this page. If you are having issues with a payment going through, change cards or try using Apple Pay or PayPal.
