Hey, Hi, and Hello Dear Friends,

My name is Daniel and I appreciate ya'll coming over to this page so very much. As you know I am an advocate for mental health awareness having been diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder Depressive Type a few years ago. I recently have been hit with a very aggressive and advanced periodontitis infection that was wrecked havoc on my teeth, gums, and jaw. This has resulted in several teeth lost, bone graft and gum flap surgeries, and pocket reductions along with other other dental problems. Unfortunately it has gotten so widespread and bad that it is requiring extensive and major dental surgeries. It's not a question of trying to save an aesthetically pleasing mouth, that is already too far gone, but it is in fact needing treatment to save my jawbone, the ability to eventually replace my teeth for the ability to eat, and other very real health concerns.

If you're here you most likely know that we've already tried unsuccessfully to get the VA to assist in this matter, but we can no longer wait for them to step in. This is unfortunately a bit time sensitive.

It is not an enjoyable task to ask for this help, having already been so lucky in the past by receiving so much love and support with past medical needs when I was placed in a coma for 17 days due to life threatening respiratory infections. It is incredibly difficult to ask for help like this, but it's simply at the point where if nothing more is done, the potential for serious complications is extremely high.
