An important update from the family and very sad news 4/6/2024: Lara's family told us that they had learned something very sad Their pharmacy, which constitutes a source of livelihood and basic income for them, was subjected to very serious damage. This is a very sad thing because, as you know, Lara and her older sister are students in the College of Pharmacy, and thus their future is greatly threatened. In addition, it was a basic source of income, but now it needs many repairs in order to be able to work again Your help now is the only source of hope for the family - everything you donate will go to them to use for the coordination amount in addition to providing food, housing and clothing - donate to them repeatedly so that this family can build its future and escape from this war

Hello, My name is Najla. I live in Washington state, but grew up in the Middle East. I have created this fundraiser in hope to help my friend, Lara and her family safely escape from the crisis in Gaza. Here is her somber story:

In the heart of Gaza, I am Lara, a first year pharmacy student, dreaming beyond the confines of conflict.

My family, a resilient unit of 11, These are some pictures of my younger brothers and sisters : ( yosra & alma and mohammed & Aser )

, lost everything in the chaos, our home, security, and my father's business, leaving us displaced numerous times, and carrying the weight of our shattered past. My family is currently facing unimaginable circumstances and is desperately seeking your support to help us evacuate to safety. We have endured so many hardships due to the crisis and the situation has only worsened with each passing day. Since October 7, my family's home has been bombed and demolished. At this moment, all eleven of us are living in a one bedroom, in increasingly difficult conditions.

Yet, my determination to pursue my pharmacy degree burns bright. It's not just my dream, it's shared by my parents, 7 siblings and our steadfast grandmother who stands by us with unwavering support. Together, we long to be liberated from adversity as well as rebuild what was lost.

Fleeing Gaza is about escaping this cycle of violence and uncertainty and about seizing an opportunity for education and a chance to rebuild our shattered dreams. I believe that through my studies, I can aim to pave a path towards a brighter future for my family and I.

However, we need your support. The coordination fees to leave Gaza are steep- $5000 per adult and $2500 per child. Your generous contributions will enable us to evacuate Gaza and seek refuge in a place where safety is not a luxury, but a fundamental human right. It will transform our hopes and dreams into reality, bringing us one step closer to a life free from fear and despair. Please help us write a new chapter, one filled with hope, peace, and the promise of a better tomorrow. Your donation, no matter how little, will make a huge impact in our lives.
