My name is Shaun Rudisill, and I am the founder of Holistic Healing 4 Heroes and a 100% disabled veteran.

At 18, I joined the Army with my first duty station in Korea for 12 months during 9/11. After leaving Korea and landing in Colorado Springs, I was deployed to the Middle East as part of the invasion team. Upon returning home after 14 months, I found myself battling PTSD and other stresses with alcohol and drugs as my only escape. When I reached out for help, I was told to 'man up' and was prescribed multiple medications that only worsened my mental health. My marriage fell apart, and I found myself in a deep, dark place.

After several years of struggling, abusing substances, and surviving multiple suicide attempts, I re-enlisted and was sent back to the Middle East. The cycle of medication, anger, and substance abuse continued. After leaving the military for the final time, I joined corporate America, hiding my pain behind a successful career and a seemingly perfect life. Despite my achievements, I was still haunted by my past.

I started my own business, which allowed me more alone time to battle my demons. During a particularly rough two-year period, I abused cocaine and alcohol, nearly losing my life. This was a turning point for me. I sought alternative healing methods and found solace in Reiki, plant medicines, and sacred retreats. These practices helped me reclaim my life, forgive myself, and move forward.

Now, I want to help others avoid the struggles I faced.

I founded Holistic Healing 4 Heroes to provide veterans and first responders with non-pharmaceutical support. Our mission is to offer holistic healing practices such as Reiki, breathwork, inner child work, sound baths, and more. We aim to reach those in need through a mobile office, starting in Georgia and expanding nationwide. This mobile approach allows us to serve individuals lacking the resources or the courage to seek help openly.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to:

- Purchase and equip a mobile office.

- Provide essential healing services and equipment.

- Hold group and individual events tailored to the needs of our heroes.

- Over 6,200 veterans die by suicide each year in the U.S., with approximately 17 veterans dying by suicide each day.

- Over 100 police officers commit suicide annually in the U.S.

- Approximately 100 firefighters die by suicide each year in the U.S.

- EMTs and paramedics have a suicide rate up to ten times higher than the national average.

- Around 300 to 400 physicians die by suicide annually in the U.S.

• Approximately 1.5 million veterans suffer from substance abuse disorder (SUD) each year, with higher rates of prescription drug misuse, particularly opioid and alcohol use disorders, compared to the general population.
