Hello, my name is Eliecer, and I am writing this with a heavy heart for my beloved brother, Alexander E. Vigier. Alex is a loving father to six beautiful children, and our world was turned upside down when he suffered a tragic accident.
On 2/13, Alex was shot in his right leg due to an accidental discharge, which struck his popliteal artery. This led to massive blood loss. He was rushed to the trauma center, where doctors attempted a vein graft to save his leg. Unfortunately, 24 hours later, the graft failed, and Alex was forced to undergo an above-knee amputation.
Despite the severity of his injuries, Alex fought bravely. He was intubated and suffered from early-stage liver and kidney failure, as well as issues with regulating his heart rate and blood pressure. After a glimmer of hope where he began to improve, his condition took a devastating turn. He became septic and went into full kidney and liver failure. The medical team worked tirelessly to save him amputating the rest of his leg, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to do more.
Alex is now in the final stages of his battle. The doctors have informed us that they will be removing his breathing tube this Saturday and transitioning him to hospice care.
As a family, we are heartbroken by the impending loss of Alex, and we are doing everything we can to be there for him and his six children during this unimaginable time.
The funds raised will be used for:
End-of-life care and funeral expenses
Ensuring his children are taken care of during this difficult time
Support for his family as we navigate the emotional and financial impact of this tragedy
Why Your Support Matters:
This has been an incredibly difficult time for Alex’s family, and we are asking for your help as we try to give him the peace and dignity he deserves in his final days. Any contribution, whether large or small, will be deeply appreciated and will help us cover the financial burdens that come with this loss.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your friends and family will help us spread the word. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing by our side during this incredibly painful time.
With love and gratitude,
Eliecer and the Vigier Family
